About the Author

Devlyn Coleman

Hi, I’m Devlyn Coleman. I’ve spent over three decades in education, helping people learn and grow. I’ve always been passionate about seeing that “aha” moment when someone finally gets something they’ve been struggling with. It’s the spark that drives me to keep learning and helping others. Over the years, I’ve realized that the way people think and process information varies greatly, and that difference is where true strength lies. My journey has shown me that understanding and supporting those differences can transform lives and businesses.

In my career, I’ve worked closely with students, educators, and leaders to build inclusive environments where everyone feels they belong. I’ve also become a staff wellbeing advocate, creating programs that focus on mental health and work-life balance. I know what it’s like to face challenges when trying to support a diverse group of people. You might feel overwhelmed or unsure where to start. That’s why I wrote this book—to give you practical tools that I’ve seen work firsthand. We all want workplaces where people thrive, and I’m here to guide you through that journey.

When I’m not working, I’m spending time with my wife, Rebecca, and our three kids. We live in Perth, Western Australia, with our two dogs and two cats. Life is full and sometimes chaotic, but I love it. My personal experiences, both at home and in my career, have shaped my understanding of the importance of empathy and inclusion. I believe we can build workplaces where everyone’s unique mind is celebrated, and I’m excited to share what I’ve learned with you.
